First of all i'd like to welcome you to AUSACORP. This Guide will be a step by step guide on howto setup email account/s using Windows Live Mail for Windows 7.
Step 1. Open up Windows Live Mail and select the "Accounts" menu, then click on the "EMAIL" icon ( if you want to edit the account later, select "Properties" here.
Step 2. In this menu type in your email address, and your password in the dialog boxes, making sure "Remember this Password" is ticked.
Some ISP's support auto configuring the mail server information , however this is not 100% accurate at times hence we will set it up manually
Step 3. If you want this email account as your default set this by ticking the that tick box, then select "Manually configure server settings"
For the most part these settings can be left as default, the main ones to change are as follows :-
Step 4. Incomming Server Info , leave the default as "POP" , check with your isp about the POP3 info , For AUSACORP it is mail.ausacorp.com port 995
Step 5. Log-on User name , check with your ISP for this info , for AUSACORP it is your email address. eg user@ausacorp.com
Step 6. Outgoing Server Info , this is also refered to as SMTP info, again check with your isp , for AUSACORP it is mail.ausacorp.com port 586
Step 7. Select "NEXT" then "Finished"
Step 8. ok you should be Finished and ready to use your First Email account , congratulations.
